For Google Meet consultations, patients can join directly from their browser — no download required. For Zoom, desktop users can join via browser, while mobile users may need the Zoom app (free). We recommend Google Meet for the most friction-free patient experience.

Yes. After the video consultation, doctors generate a digital prescription directly in Octor. The prescription is automatically linked to the patient's encounter, saved to their EMR, and can be sent digitally via SMS or email — no printing required.

Telemedicine appointments support online payment collection. Patients can pay before or after the consultation via Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking) or Stripe. Octor generates an invoice automatically for every telemedicine session.

Yes. Video sessions use encrypted platforms (Zoom is HIPAA-eligible, Google Meet uses TLS encryption). All clinical data — notes, prescriptions, diagnoses — is stored in Octor's HIPAA-aligned, encrypted database with access controls.

Yes. Both integrations can be active simultaneously. Doctors can choose which platform to use per consultation, or clinics can standardize on one. Each add-on is configured separately in the Octor admin panel.
